We are a small community which is against rips and violations.
Have you had your work ripped without permission/credit? Do you want to help others who have been ripped? Then this place is for you.

Want to help out?

Check back on the Recent Rips list to see if any new rips have been put up, you can then help out by emailing or trying to find contacts for the websites where work has been ripped.

If you find a rip, whether the victim be you or someone else; we need you to follow a careful procedure to make us aware of the rip so that we can accurately assess and act on the situation.

You need to:
1. Note us. Please do not leave links on our page. This is less likely for us to see, and thus the rip may go unreported.
2. In the note, please include:
Who the victim of the rip is
A link to the evidence of the rip
A link to the work that has been ripped.
3. Provide any additional details you think are necessary.

Please remember, we only deal with rips outside of deviantART, if it's a rip here please contact the help desk and they will help you with the situation.

_____

Behaviours and etiquette

Here at riplist, we understand the frustration you go through when you find out your work has been ripped. You will become angry, frustrated, and you will want this to stop immediately.
This does NOT in any way, give you the right to act in an uncivilized manner, and verbally attack the person who ripped your work.
In cases like this, nothing has been solved. Only more anger and frustration has been brewed, and it leads to a very serious mess. This is especially true for more popular artists, who have many fans.

If you are to contact someone who has ripped work, illegally stolen artwork, and either claims it to be thiers, or represents it without written, expressed permission, you must do so in a civilized, calm manner. You must hold down your anger, frustration, and hatred, and bite your tongue. When you speak calmly, people will listen to you. When you speak accurately, people will definitely listen to you. And when you define clear, legitimate rammifications for the theft of your artwork, not only will the person listen to you, but they will most certainly remove the artwork in fear of these consequences.

First and foremost, however, if it is an internal rip- one that took place here in deviantArt, please report it to the PVA. They will handle the issue immediately.

All other incidences (outside of deviantArt) will be handled through us, the administrators and members here at ~riplist.

Could you provide links please?
Also, you may want to go through *RippedArtTaskForce, there's a lot of good advice for use there.

E^2= (p^2c^2)+([Δm^2]c^4)
which implies that
E= [mc^2]/[<sq. root>1-(v^2/c^2)]
when p=0 (in eq 1, or in 2 rearranged to 1])
E=mc^2
[as rest mass cannot be attained, p can never=0, so E should, not always be calculated as = mc^2].

Nope they are still ripping my art and in two accounts the same piece

I hit the same snag you did just now. Just go all the way up and hit the watch button. Then it'll work.

~Raven-LaLupa:iconRaven-LaLupa: May 10, 2007, 6:59:39 AM
Most artists work hard with the things they make, and if someone rips it without even crediting.... Then they are ART THIEVES. You know what a thief is, don't you? I don't believe being against theft, which is a crime can be described as "harassing foreign people".

It doesn't matter what language you speak. If you steal, you're a thief. Misunderstandings happen, of course, but most of the myspace-commentbox//icon//whatnot makers know exactly what they are doing.

so, you would be ok with someone stealing and ripping something that you worked hard on then?

You misunderstood me. I gave the link to my account on [link] (Polish photo site). The deviantart member - Cronin took two of my photos from there and put to his gallery. The stolen photos has already been deleted from Cronin's gallery on deviantart.com. The case is closed...for now.

hi. i recently stumbled upon this. and browsed through some of your devious thoughts nad found a deviant who has asked for your help on ripped DA work of his, he posted it back in November, but looking at the link today(FEB), his picture is STILL there, not taken off. I thought you guys helped people with this. I thought maybe you overlooked it, or have so many rip requests that you just maybe havent had time to help. but please do.
Also, ~Zemotion has posted a few journals, talking about how a certain someone used her photo of herself in a newspaper ad. She is trying to build a case off of it, and has a new USE POLICY copyright thing on each and every one of her pictures now.
If everyone would do this, you could use it against those who rip.

makes us all want to stop putting our art up.
hopefully someone will do something about it.
the pictures are still on the linked site you gave, and its almost 3 months since you posted this.
maybe I will repost it in your sake to the owner of this ripclub.

"you will never be able to stop people taking other people's pictures "

Well, crime will never be stopped but there will always be a police force present. It is groups like this that are needed to maintain some type of order. This is clearly a point that you missed.

Friends... it has been brough to my attention that ~LaserAbe is using and posting other artist's work as his own. -----> [link]

I suggest that each of you visit their gallery and see if your work has been stolen.

All my best.....

I think it's really stupid that you are harrassing foreign people who have a few deviant pictures, how do you expect them to buy prints anyway if they can't even speak english, i hope you realise you will never be able to stop people taking other people's pictures and i would be alot more sympathetic to your cause if you were only going after people who were trying to sell on other people's pictures, but getting people to report pictures being used in comment boxes on myspace is completely pathetic, get a grip
